(a poem by David E. Manuel)
Begabble, babble, blather, blurp,
Loud conversation all around;
Uncomprehended tweet and twerp
To smother silence sweet in sound.
Good afternoon, good day, good eve',
So pleased to meet you, and you, me.
Excuse the mess, no time to grieve;
Good morn', good night, good century.
I love you, hate you, am confused
As to the nature of my soul,
And wonder why you sit bemused:
Ask not for whom the tonsils toll.
Insanity is seldom heard,Drowned out by disconnected word.
